House of the Dragon Season 2: First Trailer Promises Epic Battles

Get Ready for a Bloody Civil War in Westeros

HBO has released the official trailer for the highly anticipated second season of House of the Dragon, and it promises to be a bloody and epic affair.

The trailer opens with a voiceover from King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine), who says, "No war so bloody as a war between dragons." And from the looks of the trailer, he's not kidding. We see plenty of dragons battling it out in the skies, and there's even a glimpse of a dragon rider being eaten by one of the beasts.

In addition to the dragon battles, the trailer also gives us a glimpse of the political machinations that are taking place in Westeros. We see Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) plotting against each other, and we get a sense of the growing tension between the Greens and the Blacks.

House of the Dragon Season 2 is set to premiere on HBO on August 21, 2023. And if the trailer is any indication, it's going to be one of the most epic and bloody seasons of television yet.
